Understanding the Value of Vedic Math for
Competitive School Systems
What is Vedic Math, and why are we investing in a dedicated group class for it?
Vedic Mathematics refers to the ancient Indian system of calculation that
emphasises mental strategies, pattern-recognition and speed. While it is not
part of standard school curricula in Iran, we believe it offers a strong
advantage in competitive contexts — whether entrance tests, Olympiads, or rapid
problem-solving logistics. The logic is simple: by training a student’s brain
to think flexibly, mentally compute, and see patterns, Vedic Math enhances
general mathematical agility — which transfers across subjects like Physics,
Chemistry and Data Science.
For Iranian students preparing for rigorous
assessment systems (and for those aspiring for overseas higher education),
mastering mental maths offers a distinct edge. It builds confidence,
reduces exam time-pressure and fosters a stronger mathematical mindset. Our
October launch class was well-attended, and feedback suggests students found
the sessions fun and empowering. Over the coming months we will extend the class
to include competition prep modules, peer-practice groups and Persian
language reinforcement, making it directly relevant to Iranian students’
needs and rhythms.
